Branson, Missouri’s Newest Restaurant Caters to Taste in Jazz, Blues

By Philip Trapp on Jul 06, 2016 03:10 PM EDT

Branson, Missouri's newest eatery, Jay Bee's Jazz and Blues Restaurant on Green Mountain Drive, serves a tasty alternative to the standard musical fare offered in the so-called country music show capital of the world.

As detailed in a recent report from Branson Tri-Lakes News, the Midwestern municipality's most recent outpost offers live jazz and blues music on select evenings. Seeking to add some audible flavor to the city atop the Ozarks, the rhythmically-inclined restauranteur behind the new dining facility summed up his cool culinary counterstrike:

"Every place in town has cowboy music," said Jack Briola, restaurant manager and chef at Jay Bee's Jazz and Blues Restaurant in Branson. "I'm a big fan of jazz and blues."

The jazzy joint's hearty helping of soulful sounds won't be the only thing on order to satiate your senses. Chef Briola's delicious fusion of time-honored, homestyle cuisine and innovative edibles is sure to appease your appetite. Reportedly cooking the "best legs in town," the proud proprietor described his favored chicken dish's palatable particulars:

"Three chicken legs can make up one-and-a-half pounds and are served with 'mild to wild' sauce." Briola said.

The new restaurant's bluesy bestowal to Branson's mostly dust-bowl-ballad-imbued music scene is the latest in a rootsy resurgence of bebop and boogie-woogie blasts in the area. Roadhouse blues bands like Smooth Down Under also help to embiggen blues in the burg.

Jay Bee's at 2900 Green Mountain Drive, Suite 201 is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Should you find yourself in Branson -- the town deemed "Las Vegas as if it were run by Ned Flanders" on The Simpsons -- grab a bite to eat and relax to some soothing jazz and blues tunes at Jay Bee's.

After tasting their self-described best legs in town, Jay Bee's won't leave you claiming you've "never been to Branson" like Master Shake, the anthropomorphic milkshake on Aqua Teen Hunger Force:
