Leading men John Turturro and Tony Shalhoub are slated to star on Broadway this spring in a revival of Arthur Miller's 1968 play, The Price. Turturro and Shalhoub will be joined by actress and singer Jessica Hecht in the drama directed by Steppenwolf Theatre Company's Terry Kinney.

The play from prolific 20th-century writer Miller, creator of the famed Salem witch trials fictionalization, The Crucible, is schedule to begin previews at American Airlines Theatre in February, followed by a March 16 opening date. One of Mr. Miller's most distinguished theatrical works, Broadway.com recounts The Price's identifiable theme:

"One of Miller's most personal plays, The Price is a story about the struggle to make peace with the past and create hope for the future."

Playbill notes the narrative of The Price, a touching story of two resentful brothers brought together by their father's death, from the forthcoming production's press release:

"When the Great Depression cost his family their fortune, Victor Franz gave up his dream of an education to support his father," state RTC production notes. "Three decades later, Victor has returned to his childhood home to sell the remainder of his parents' estate. His wife, his estranged brother, and the wily furniture dealer hired to appraise their possessions all arrive with their own agendas, forcing Victor to confront a question, long‐stifled, about the value of his sacrifice."

Turturro has delighted cinema audiences for decades with his frequent character work in Cohen brothers films, including his roles in The Big Lebowski, O Brother, Where Art Thou?, Barton Fink and Miller's Crossing. Shalhoub, best known as TV's neurotic detective Monk from the eponymous USA Network series, has lit up the silver screen in classics like horror remake Thir13en Ghosts and alien blockbuster Men in Black II.

Below, watch Turturro discuss the enduring popularity of his Big Lebowski antagonist Jesus Quintana, rival bowler to lead characters Jeffrey "The Dude" Lebowski and Walter Sobchak.
