With the thrilling television series "Vikings" Season 4 entitled 'The Great Army' heading towards its end, fans are really worried about the fate of Lagertha. From the promos, it looks like the new ruler of Kattegat might meet the end at the hands of Ragnar Lothbrok's crippled son Ivar the Boneless. The former has assassinated the later's mother Aslaug and this is expected to be his perfect revenge.

Over the few episodes, Ivar the Boneless seems to be desperate to avenge the death of his beloved mother. In this week's power-packed episode, we saw Bjorn 'Ironside' Ragnarsson saving the day with his eleventh-hour appearance. According to Travelers Today, while Ivar and his men were plotting to kill the ruler, Bjorn stormed into the room at the right time to remind them that they should be rather avenging their father's death. He also warned his half brothers that if they want to kill his mother, they have to face him first. As no one dared to fight against Bjorn, they backed off let tin Lagertha live for another day.

However, the show's creator Michael Hirst has hinted to his fans that Lagertha will not be overthrown in this thrilling History series. In an interview to Monsters and Critics, Hirst clarified that Ragnar's scions will attempt to murder Lagertha but he also assured that Kattegat's new ruler will not be an easy bait. Meanwhile, Katheryn Winnick, the actress who portrays as Lagertha, has been posting back-to-back photos on her social media handles which send a message that she is very well filming for the series.

Looks like in the upcoming episodes Ivar's further assassination plans will go in vain. With rumors of the fifth season's script getting ready, it now looks like Winnick will have to survive the end of current season.
