Most museums we know has a classic theme and shows some historical and creative work of art on their collections. Some even have rare artifacts and even exclusive ones. Museums has the effect of making us think what an art's message is all about. While some works and collections look serious, some are very unusual as well.

An example of this art is the 'Rubber Toilet' by Vladimir Kozin at the Russian Museum in St Petersburg. According to Guide to Petersburg, Mr.Kozin himself was shocked that the said museum purchased his toilet equipment. He was very surprised that it even took four years before the deal was closed. Can you imagine your personal bathroom equipment could be a headline and be displayed at a museum someday? Crazy isn't it?

Another one example is "The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living" by Damien Hirst. According to his website, the art is to represent and describe his idea of death to himself. Something big and scary that you can't even The piece is composed of a shark soaked into a formaldehyde solution in a glass with painted steel coat on the edges divided into three cubes. It is unamiginably 13 feet wide and weighs 23 tons. How big and heavy it is! A wonderful yet crazy way to explain death indeed.

This are just a few unusual contemporary arts that are placed in a musuem. They have served their purpose as for sure. As stated by Museum Association, museums are perceived to have a societal role. Even though we might think that these kind of arts or collections are a bit unusual, they still strike something into our curiousity as well as to our imagination. It always aim to reflect and instance and make us ponder on it for a while.
