"The Big Bang Theory" Season 10 might be the last for CBS's highly successful TV sitcom, that is according to the latest rumors following the lack of confirmation that the eleventh season is indeed happening.

According to Deadline, the three-year renewal contract signed by CBS and Warner Bros TV after Season 7 will be expired by the end of the current season. For now, CBS Entertainment president Glenn Geller is positive that another deal will be made to make another round of episodes for the comedy series

"We are in negotiations," Geller revealed during the show's TCA session in Pasadena. The focus at this point is to get another contract signed between CBS and Warner Bros., but the contract with the actors is another thing. "It is business as usual... These are going to be, I think, the normal tough negotiations when you in a situation like this but we are guardedly optimistic," Geller said.

There are no confirmed reports as of now regarding the stars of "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10 signing up for an extension. According to Cinema Blend, Kaley Cuoco, who plays the role of Penny, has shown interest to reprise the character for another season. Meanwhile, other "TBBT" main cast members such as Kunal Nayyar and Jim Parsons have not yet confirmed their involvement for Season 11.

Nevertheless, CBS has been working on the contract renewal with Parsons for "The Big Bang Theory" Season 11, Variety reported. Aside from Cuoco and Parsons whose names are already mentioned, Johnny Galecki, who plays the role of Leonard, is among the top actors possibly returning for the eleventh season. The fans are still hopeful that the rest of the cast will have their contracts renewed.

"The Big Bang Theory" showrunner Steve Molaro once told The Hollywood Reporter that he is uncertain whether the show will survive if one of the main cast members decide to leave. "I have no idea," Molaro told The Hollywood Reporter. "I think it would certainly be different and weird. There's no point in me wondering what it could be when I have 19 scripts staring down at me that need to get written."

While nothing is certain as of yet, Molaro expressed his willingness to pen down more seasons of "The Big Bang Theory" if given the chance.
