Just before the last days of the month come to pass, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter was shown in the theater last January 27. Following the last one, Resident Evil: Retribution, it finally has a conclusion now in this violent post-apocalyptic saga.

Resident Evil is a film series that is based on the Capcom video game. Constantin Film was the one who bought the rights to make a film out of it last January 1997 with Alan B. McElroy and George A. Romero as their potential writers. The film still revolves on the aftermath of Umbrella Corporation's inhumane experiments which leads to a zombie apocalypse.

The Final Chapter will focus on Alice (Milla Jovovich), humanity's final stand against the undead as stated by IMDb. She will journey again to The Hive in Raccoon City where the Umbrella Corporation is reproducing a hoard of zombies. Their main plan is to eradicate the last remaining humanities left. Alice is set to finish the race and let mankind survive the war and return to normal again

According to the critic consensus at Rotten Tomato, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter "offers a fittingly kinetic conclusion to its violent post-apocalyptic saga." Its audience score is also fair enough to land at 72%. Their 'Tomatometer' however is 41%.

The film has a meta score of 54 based on 16 critics at Metacritic. Most critics have mixed emotions and a lot gave a positive review to the film. They stated that the movie is full of action, economic storytelling and has a clear point. One critic even said that this film will encourage the newcomers and even those who recently watched to play the earlier movies again.

Indeed, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter really lives up to its name. A dramatic conclusion giving a narrative ending. The director of the movie really saved the best for last.
