'State Of The Arts,' A New Visual & Personal Way To Appreciate The Art Around Us

Museums have been always an avenue for people to gaze, discover and learn more about arts. Moreover, the place is filled with a different variety of masterpiece coming from different persons and places. Any museum can have a different theme and sometimes depends on the season as well.

As years goes by, several programs were also being implemented on some museums. An example of this is called "State Of The Arts". Reported by KTEP, the goal of this program is provide a more in-depth knowledge on how creativity is shaping our communities. The participants will have an exclusive glimpse on the behind-the-scene of a certain project as well. 

The program is currently being hosted by Marina Monsisvais, a dedicated art enthusiast that shares his passion to the artists out there. She will be the one interviewing some local visual artists, writers, singers, actors, dancers, directors and much more. By communicating with them, the people will know more about how art transform an individual as well as its contagious effect to another individual, hence a community. Of course, any program with goals like this will definitely encourage and inspire artists to do what they love.

The "State Of The Arts" is currently being held at El Paso Museum of Art. The said museum is known to be a major cultural and educational resource for the surrounding region as per their website. It is currently located at the boundary of Texas-Mexico. It currently houses more than 5,000 works of arts ranging from different era and centuries.

The collection consists of European art from the 13th and 18th centuries,  American art from the 19th to the 20th centuries, Mexican colonial art, and retablos from the 18th-19th centuries work on paper and contemporary art from the Southwestern United States and Mexico, according to their website, El Paso Art Museum. Having a diverse display of works, the museum also has a diverse schedule of shows having the theme of films, lectures, exhibitions and other forms of educational programs to the public.
