'Empire' Season 3 Spoilers: Eva Longoria's Character Does Not Mean Well For Lucious' Empire

The "Desperate Housewife" alum is set to appear for a multi-episode arc, according to TV Line. As the viewers may be delighted to see another gorgeous character on the show, the reports suggest that Longoria's character has dark, ulterior motives hiding under her beautiful façade. In fact, Longoria will play the villainous Charlotte Frost, who will at first appear as heaven-sent for Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) and Lucious (Terrence Howard).

Charlotte is the director of a very influential state gaming company, having the power to help Lucious in expanding his Empire to Las Vegas. However, she will make sure that helping Empire will bring her more gain. Her fear of going back to her old self as a poor, helpless woman will be her motivation to succeed in her business. For her to succeed, Charlotte is willing to sacrifice many things, or even people, to get what she wants.

Longoria has appeared in a number of TV series before her latest stint in "Empire" Season 3," according to Movie Fone. Aside from her memorable performance in ABC's now-defunct "Desperate Housewives," the actress served as an executive producer to a handful of series such as "Devious Maids" and "Telenovela."

The latter half of Season 3 will see more family dynamics from Cookie and Lucious with their children, Andre (Trai Byers), Jamal (Jussie Smollett) and Hakeem (Bryshere Gray). The fans are excited to see what the power duo is up to in the third season of "Empire," which has also been renewed for Season 4 with 18 episodes.

Meanwhile, the extent of Charlotte's corrupted ways has yet to be known, so the fans should tune in to "Empire" Season 3 midseason premiere to see how Longoria's villainous character raise hell on the show. The upcoming tenth episode of the series, titled "Sound and Fury," will be out on March 22 at 9/8c on FOX.
