'This Is Us' News & Update: New Character New Trouble

The This Is Us star couple, Rebecca (Mandy Moore) and Jack (Milo Ventimiglia), married life seems to be perfect. It seems we'll witness trouble with the arrival of Sam Trammell as Ben.

According to People, Trammell's character's intention of letting Rebecca join their band is her talent in singing is better than him as a band leader. And also he finds Rebecca as a beautiful and talented person.

On the show's Valentine's Day-themed installment, the viewers got an insight into Rebecca and Ben's past. When Jack and Miguel went to the band's gig, Jack learned that Rebecca and Ben have dated briefly in the past.

While we still don't know what damage Ben will do to the relationship of Rebecca and Jack but Trammell believes that his character's heart is in the right place. And for the first time, Trammell had sung a song in the episode, an act which he never did before.

According to New York Post, the show writers decided to let the pair sing a love duet but Trammell is nervous in the singing part. Then producer Ken Olin asked him to give it a shot, so he took three or four voice lessons and asked the show's composer to drop the key of the song to suit his range.

And when it's time for the recording Moore asked if they could raise the key a bit, he could see that she's killing the song and he was able to get by by the skin of his teeth. As a father of twins, Trammell salutes the This Is Us couple who's been raising triplets in the series.

He shared the time when his twins were zero to 3 years old and only if one of them was alone, he described it as if you're going to a war. He also reveals that in the show's last four episodes, Ben will still appear including the March 14 season finale. It is still not sure if he will be coming back for Season 2.
