'Pokemon Sun and Moon' 2017 Events: Shiny Tapu Koko Still Free Until April 9; Global Missions Overcoming Difficulties?

"Pokemon Sun and Moon" players will be in for a treat. Game Freak has confirmed shelling out a Shiny Tapu Koko for free through serial codes.

The "Pokemon Sun and Moon" Shiny Tapu Koko event will begin on March 17 and is set to run at 7SPOTs in 7-11 stores until April 9. Incidentally, Tapu Koko has not been made available as a Shiny Pokemon previously.

"Pokemon Sun And Moon" Shiny Tapu Koko will likely boast an ideal IV, including an unnamed item, and also expected to come with a different cosmetic look compared to its original form. There are speculations that Game Freak may drop the familiar yellow and orange base color and opt for black to provide the event a new Pokemon appearance.

"Pokemon Sun And Moon" players may get Tapu Koko once during the main game. Based on reports, the legendary Pokemon is found near the Altar in Ruins of Conflict, however, only after the main storyline has been completed. Meantime, players are expected to bump into the much coveted creature at Level 60 at any time of the day.

The "Pokemon Sun and Moon" players can still use the special codes given out in Japan regardless of their location. Also, players outside of Japan may get a Shiny Tapu Koko by looking for those players who are willing to sell their codes, Siliconera reported.

"Pokemon Sun and Moon's" Global Missions, meanwhile, reportedly had a little difficult start. According to reports, the initial two events that required players to catch 100 million Pokemon and scan 1 million of the creatures are reported to have failed. However, players were still given rewards for their efforts. Fortunately, the succeeding Global Mission was a hit, as players were able to surpass the 1 million Pokemon trade goal set by the developers, Destructoid reported.
