After "Beauty and the Beast's" successful premiere, it is set to be viewed by other countries like Malaysia. The film censorship board of the country, however, has requested to have the gay scene cut. Otherwise, Emma Watson's movie will not be released.

On Tuesday, Walt Disney gave a statement saying the film will not cut its scene despite reports that Malaysia will not open "Beauty and the Beast" on its scheduled premiere. Bill Condon, the film director has been asked about the two characters, LeFou and its villain, Gaston, and said that the scene was an "exclusively gay moment," as reported by the New York Times.

Abdul Halim Abdul Halim, chairman of the censorship board in Malaysia, said during an interview that they will release the film if Walt Disney agreed on their part to cut a minor scene that includes two gay characters. Indeed, Malaysia is a Muslim country and never promotes L.G.B.T activity in their country.

Moreover, Abdul Halim was looking forward to having the film screened for parents and children who have been waiting for it. "Beauty and the Beast" was supposed to premiere on Thursday but the movie has to be put on hold for the said controversial scene, Malay Mail Online reported.

Walt Disney has already moved "Beauty and the Beast's" release date on March 30 for to give the Malaysian censors time to think and allow the screening of the film in the country, The Hollywood Reporter reported.

The "Beauty and the Beast" cast include Emma Watson, playing the role of Belle, Dan Stevens as Beast, Luke Evans as Gaston and Josh Gad as the manservant, LeFou.
