The 4th annual Palm Springs Women's Jazz Festival is set to light up the California desert city this September with a dazzling array of lady jazz performers. The festival takes place Sept. 2-4, 2016, at various venues including the Annenberg Theater, Jorge Mendez Gallery and the Hard Rock Hotel.

This year's Palm Springs Women's Jazz Festival lineup features headliners Ann Hampton Callaway, Pamela Williams and Grammy Award-winning artist Dee Dee Bridgewater with her All-Star Band. The fest's "2016 All-Star Musicians" band features saxophone siren Paula Atherton, soul singer and bassist Mimi Jones, drummer Tina Raymond, pianist Karen Hammack, acclaimed jazz musician Sunnie Paxson and accomplished guitarist Linda Taylor. Participating vocalists include Rosalía de Cuba, Cathy Segal-Garcia, Gennine Jackson, Pam Trotter and Sascha Dupont.

And dudes, don't fret! As reported by the Desert Sun, the upcoming Palm Springs Women's Jazz Festival takes all comers and is meant to be a fun entertainment event for all genders of people:

"It's a festival that aims to make jazz accessible to all, from novice to aficionado. Also, the festival is not limited to an audience of women; it is for men, women, all who enjoy, want to learn about, experience, and ultimately celebrate jazz."

eTurboNews details the festival's inception and its artistic contributions to the city:

"The festival, which has been one of the highlights of the Palm Springs calendar since it was launched in 2013, was founded to promote women in jazz, and has since hosted over 100 of the world's best female jazz musicians and performers. The diverse lineup has long been one of its finest features, and this year over 30 of today's jazz greats and rising-stars will perform."
