Movies are of all types - Passable or one time watch, unwatchable and Classics. A Classic lives in audiences memory and hearts forever. The recently released hollywood offering "La La Land" is on its way to become a modern day classic.

According to The Gurdian, La La Land, a movie produced by the Gilbert Films, Imposter Pictures and Marc Platt Productions and directed by Damien Chazelle has won seven awards at this year's Golden Globe including the best actress and best actor by Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling respectively.

It has also been nominated in 11 categories at the prestigious Bafta Awards and is also billed as one of the Oscar favorites. The film has achieved both critical acclamation and Box Office success. The movie is based on the lives of two people, one an aspiring actress and the other a pianist living in the air of quirkiness. The soundtrack created by Justin Hurwitz is exceptional and already topping many charts. The album is expected to reach the Top 5 in the Billboard Top 200 albums.

Now, another feather may get added to the film's already glorious cap. It has been considered to be made into a Broadway musical and it might just get staged very soon. Before this, films like "42nd street" and "Singin' in the Rain" has been brought alive on the stage.

According to the Metro News, a presentation was held at the Lionsgate Studio on Tuesday on the eve of Investor's Day. Erik Feig, the co president of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group spoke about the possibility of the film being turned into a musical at the Broadway, "If we want to do a stage show, we can do a stage show."

Considering it is an on screen musical, many fans and critics do not approve of the plan to turn it into a theatrical drama. Besides, Ryan Gosling might not be available to play the protagonist because of his other movie commitments.

The chemistry between Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling has been one of the main USP of the film being successful and it is tough imagining the story being played by someone else. The huge success of "La La Land" has made the producers and director think of presenting it in other possible ways and Broadway seems the most likely destination for this musical.
