The event is called "MACAN First Sight" and will be organized by director Aaron Seeto. Along with this, there will also be educational workshops, artist talks and discussions, and also somerelated lectures pertaining to modern and contemporary art. The program also aims to give it's audiences some previews on what's about to happen inside the museum in the following days.

According to Widewalls, the said museum is under construction as of now. It will be located in West Jakarta, Kebon Jeruk district which is outside the city center. Aside from the galleries, it will also have some apartments, offices, hotel and a retail area. All of the revenue collected by these parts will go toward the operation of the museum as well. The museum is said to be one of the next tourist attraction in Indonesia.

Haryanto Adikoesoemo, an Indonesian businessman and a collector is said to be the one to finance the whole project. His 800 private collections will be showcased as well on the walls of the museum along with other works from local artist and curators. In an interview over the telephone by NYTimes, he said that "I also want this museum to help cross-pollinate exchanges with Indonesia and the world, to provide a platform for Indonesian art internationally and to bring international art to Indonesia."

Museum MACAN is just one of the many art museums in Indonesia. While it perseveres and showcases most of the country's current state and historical past, it also serves as an innovation and inspiration for the future artists to come. Indonesia is one of the country that has a very rich culture and art.
