Melania Trump To Rewrite First Lady's Role Her Way

The United States of America has seen 45 different presidents and as many 'First Ladies'. From Jacqueline Kennedy to Hillary Clinton, each First Lady had her own personality, character and working style during their unofficial tenure at Washington. The latest to walk hand in hand with the President Elect Donald Trump is his wife Melania Trump.

According to CBS News, Melania Trump will be starting the week with her son Barron in New York instead of accompanying president Donald Trump. On the Inaugural day, Mrs. Trump was seen in a powder blue outfit by the side of her husband which was reminiscent of Jaqueline Kennedy's dress when John F. Kennedy took charge at the White House.

Melania, born in Slovenia is the only on-American First Lady after John Q Adams' wife Louisa to adorn the White House. Ambassador Paolo Zampella was all praises for Melania "The class, the beauty, the intelligence, the caring for family, the values that she gives to the family, to her child, she would really bring it to the White House and make it something unique." Interestingly Melania also happens to be one of the First Ladies who can speak five different languages.

Melania, during most of Donald Trump's election campaign, has been on the sidelines until she came under the spotlight for her speech at the Republican National Convention. She was heavily criticized on the social media for her speech which was rumored to have been picked up from Michelle Obama's speech. Against the social media charges, Melania pledged to fight in a dignified way by finding a better technique to agree or disagree with each other. She also said that her role as a full-time mother to her 10-year son Barron Trump is her priority and she will be staying in New York with him until the end of his academic session.

According to Pal-Item of USA Today Network, Melania Trump, for the time being, will be handing over the role to her stepdaughter Ivanka since she will be staying with her father in Washington DC. As the wife of one of the most "hated" presidents in America's history, Melania would like to stay as far as possible from the detractors to skip the pain of her every move being criticized just like her speech at the Republican National Convention.

Before Melania, Michelle Obama also had fallen victim to racial abuse which she handled quite tactfully. Apart from her, Hillary Clinton was also criticized for standing by her husband Bill Clinton when he was charged for the extramarital affair with Monica Lewinsky.

Facing criticism is a part and parcel of a First Lady's most actions but the way she handles it shows her real character. Melania Trump will be facing many challenges ahead and it will take steel of nerves to stand tall against the political and personal adversities.
