First Oscar Nomination Leaves Justin Timberlake Speechless; Jessica Biel Makes The News 'Sweeter'

Justin Timberlake, the ace singer nominated for the upcoming Oscar was so overwhelmed by the emotions that he was left "speechless". One of the most popular faces from the 90's music, Timberlake is nominated for his song "Can't Stop the Feeling" featured in the animated flick "Trolls".

According to Billboard, the 35-year-old singer-composer took to the social media platform Twitter and conveyed his feeling on receiving the nomination for Best original song. He also congratulated all his fellow nominees in the tweet. Apart from being nominated for the Academy Awards, "Can't Stop the Feeling" is also his 41st song to reach the top of Billboard's Hot 100 countdown.

Apart from Timberlake's song, Lin-Manuel Miranda also received an Oscar nomination for his efforts in the inspirational song "How Far I'll Go" from Disney's animated film "Moana". The other nominees included Justin Hurwitz for his score in "City of Stars", Benj Pasek and Justin Paul for "Audition" and "The Fools who dream" from the movie "La La Land" and the final one being J. Ralph and Sting for their song "The Empty Chair" in "Jim: The Jamey Foley Story".

According to the US Magazine, It was all the more special for Justin Timberlake as he came to know of his nomination through his wife Jessica Biel. Being busy in an assignment that went late into the night, Timberlake missed out on the television news. He felt the news was "Sweeter" as it came from Beil and that it was a "Self-pinching" moment for him.

Timberlake is already having a great year when it comes to award nominations. He was nominated for "Can't Stop the Feeling" at the 2017 Golden Globes as well, where he eventually lost to "City of Stars". Speaking of accolades, he already has four Emmys for his work on "Saturday Night Live" and a total of nine Grammys.

Justin Timberlake is one of the most popular artists of the recent years with mega hit tracks like "Mirrors" and "Senorita" under his name. By 28th February it will be clear whether the Oscar will add a further glow to Timberlake's already illustrious career or the "City of Stars" will once again shine brighter.
