‘Screen Actors Guild’ 2017: Complete List Of Winners; Lily Tomlin Receives Lifetime Achievement Award

The absolute best of television and movie acting! As broadcast live on TBS and TNT at 8 p.m. ET, the 23rd annual 2017 Screen Actors Guild Awards were held Sunday, January 29, at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. The highlight of the event was when Lily Tomlin receives 53rd Annual SAG Life Achievement Award.

According to New York Times, Sophia Bush, Brie Larson, and the adorable cast of Stranger Things are among the selected bunch slated to hand out the solid bronze statues to their fellow actors. In a much-anticipated reunion, Dolly Parton presented her 9 to 5 costar Lily Tomlin with the Life Achievement Award.

Any doubts that Hollywood would take sharp aim at President Trump's immigration order were swiftly vanquished at the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday night. Amid upsets, winner after winner lashed out at the policy, pleaded for acceptance of differences in a bitterly divided time and, in the case of the cast of "Stranger Things," adopted the stance of political firebrands says USA Today.

Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture is won by Hidden Figures. Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role Denzel Washington from the film "Fences" while the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role is received by Emma Stone from her performance in "La La Land."

Mahershala Ali from "Moonlight" wins the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role award while Viola Davis from Fences wins the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role. Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture is given to "Hacksaw Ridge."

Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series is given to "Stranger Things." Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series is given to "Orange Is the New Black."

John Lithgow of the series "The Crown" receives the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series award. The Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series is given to Claire Foy still from "The Crown." Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series is given to William H. Macy of "Shameless" and Julia Louis-Dreyfus of "Veep" receives the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series.

Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Miniseries or Television Movie is given to Bryan Cranston for his performance in "All the Way." Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Miniseries or Television Movie was given to Sarah Paulson from "The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime." And finally "Game of Thrones" wins Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Television Series.
