Reasons Why Emma Watson Backed Out From ‘La La Land’
It can't be denied that Miles Teller and Emma Watson were first offered to star hit movie "La La Land." But the role fell on Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone. There are claims that both actors were too demanding for the role.
As of now according to Cinema Blend, the musical themed movie "La La Land" has now taken a spot in every major award such as Screen Actors Guild (SAG), Golden Globes, Academy Awards, and Producers Guild Awards (PGA). Recently, it was acknowledged for the award Best Picture at the Oscar Awards.
Miles Teller and Emma Watson was first offered for the role by the film's production team. Miles Teller was offered $4 million to do the leading role, but he wanted $6 million while Emma Watson initially asked the film if ever it will be filmed in London instead of in Los Angeles. Also claimed by Page Six, both actors were raising hell with their agents for not securing the spot now that the film got its huge success.
Emma Watson was also offered to star in the 2017 movie "Beauty and the Beast," which gave her a hard time making a decision. Apparently, the "Harry Potter" actress chose the fairytale movie to do a Disney musical.
The British actress Emma Watson was recognized for her lead role in "The Harry Potter" movie franchise where she played as Hermione Granger. She began her negotiations and contract when she was brought by the rival agency WME but she signed with CAA last December. So that led to the conclusion that she stepped away from "La La Land" to do Disney's fantasy film "Beauty and the Beast."
As for "La La Land" Huffington Post reported that it was an excellent choice to pair Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling. They achieved their success through their effort and the chemistry between the two leading actors is just strong.
