Ever since the American Revolution protest music became one mode of expression for artists expressing their dissatisfaction towards the government. From his candidacy to his inauguration, Donald Trump seems to inspire a lot of songwriters who oppose his politics.

In Global and Mail report, British pop star Lily Allen has released a somber cover of Rufus Wainwright's Going to a Town "I'm so tired of America" as an anti-Trump protest song. It was accompanied by a black-and-white video showing footage of the Women's March in London.

The Canadian singer-songwriter David Clayton-Thomas, a longtime believer in the proverb "what goes up must come down," just posted his new Ode to The Donald on YouTube. And left-wing songster and Woody Guthrie believer Billy Bragg has a Trump-tailored version of Bob Dylan's iconic protest anthem The Times They Are A-Changin.

Randy Newman's latest political song titled My Dick's Bigger Than Your Dick was "too vulgar" to release.  Russ Rankin, Jared Grabb, and Jason Hall knew for creating many protest songs are afraid of the rising normalization of racism, persecution of people due to their sexual orientation; the loss of health care without any clear plans, according to Heavy Blog is Heavy.

Artist urges the people to take in information from as many sources as possible, while checking their authenticity, and then decide for themselves what the next step and be pleasant to each other. Many modern protest songs only targeted Trump, given the political climate today it's boring they left many of the political anthems of the last decade.

The result was given more than 19 songs overtly referring to Trump have come out since 2015. All these protest songs but the artist behind it take less confrontational tactic who is going to listen if they keep acting like that releasing a song in any way exclusive it seems to defeat the purpose.
