New 'Walking Dead' Star Pollyanna McIntosh Hints Cat-And-Mouse Game Between Jadis, Rick
The midseason premiere of "The Walking Dead" has introduced new sets of 'best friends' headed by the stoically powerful Jadis, played by Scottish actor Pollyanna McIntosh. Though the nameless group managed to slay many lives to survive in the junkyard, their ultimate aim is still under the wraps.
In an interview with Variety, McIntosh hinted at a cat-and-mouse game between Jadis and Rick in the forthcoming episodes. The actress also discussed the ultimate deal that she make with Rick (Andrew Lincoln) to win the war against Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). While discussing on her hostile group's dual shade-as both Heapsters and Scavengers, she revealed that the group is keeping their cards under wrap to survive in this dangerous world.
However, McIntosh confirmed that Jadi will not turn villainous as she is a leader, who will go to any extend to take care of her group. She also discussed her playful interaction with Rick, who according to her is a "perfect match with a great sense of humor." Of course, those lovely bargaining scene seems to be revealing the playfulness of Jadis and Rick.
Hollywood Reporter revealed that the Mad-max inspired drama is doing something new-they have introduced an original group not seen in the comics. For those who hasn't read the comic, this junkyard group is likely to be the Whisperers, the main antagonist who will the ending the lives of many characters. At least, that is what fan's theories state. In the same interview, McIntosh has thrashed the fan's theory and clarified that Jadis is not from the original comic.
When quipped about what the community is like, McIntosh called them as an 'organize community" with a similar military kind of looks and perfectly synced choreography at the beginning of their gatherings.
