'The Americans' Season 5 Episode 4 Spoilers Update: Philip And Elizabeth Dangerous Tasks, Stan’s Move Risking His Career

"The Americans" season 5's episode 4 is entitled "What's the Matter with Kansas?" will follow Elizabeth and Philip's continuing their adventures in the world of surveillance. Both will struggle with the task ahead while Philip's past creates troubles for them.

The synopsis of the episode according to TV Guide is Elizabeth and Philip will have doubts about the new assignment while Philip's past will create trouble and meanwhile, Stan is making a bold move risking his career. In the promotional video for episode 4, Paige is in a bedroom where she found a diary, then in the next scene, she tells Elizabeth about finding the diary to which her mother warns that it's dangerous.

Elizabeth genuinely concerned for Paige as she seems to be attempting to get into their family's line of business according to Econo Times. In the last episode of "The Americans" titled "The Midges" Philip and Elizabeth tried to teach Paige their ideals as they opened up about their work on saving a country's food crop from being destroyed by pests.

Paige also received a new lesson about surveillance while trying to deal with the fact that she has to lie to her boyfriend. "The Americans" Season 5 episode 4 will be airing on March 28, 2017, on FX. The episode was directed by Gwyneth Horder-Payton and written by Peter Ackerman.

Episode 5 will be titled "Lotus 1-2-3", directed by Noah Emmerich and scheduled to be released on April 4. "The Americans" is an American TV period drama series created and produced by former CIA officer Joe Weisberg.

Premiered on January 30, 2013, the series is set on the early 1980s during the cold War. The series follows the story of Philip Jennings, played by Matthew Rhys and Elizabeth Jennings, played by Keri Russell, two Soviet Intelligence officers posing as an American married couple.
