UFC Champion Conor McGregor Turned Down a Film Leading Role in ‘The Predator’

Last holiday season in 2016, it was reported that the UFC champion Conor McGregor will play a role in one of the episodes of the upcoming "Game of Thrones" Season 7. The former president Dana White of UFC once stated that he even knew about the champion's role in the series.

As for Conor McGregor's statement with Movie Web, the UFC champion claimed that he turned down a lot of offers. He once got an offer from "The Predator" movie. The production guys came to him to have a negotiation but he turned down because of low offers in numbers.

"They came in and tried to sell the whole negotiation shit. They said we want you to be the main guy and you're going to fight Predators and I'm like, this sounds fucking brilliant! So I said how much? Well, Not enough," said UFC Champion Conor McGregor.

Conor's team and the production guys went back and forth for renegotiation, offer digits climbed up high but if the champion will accept the offer. It will be a long hiatus he will make in his fighting career to go into filming business; it will be a long eight weeks to do the filming, so he turned down again "The Predator" offer.

As reports claimed by Bloody Elbow, UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor was first offered as the leading role in 20^th Century Fox's "The Predator," but he turned it down immediately due to some reasons. As of now, Boyd Holbrook from Netflix's "Narcos" replaced the champions spot as the leading role.

The cast in the upcoming movie "The Predator" includes Sterling K. Brown, Thomas Jane, Olivia Munn, Trevante Rhodes and Keegan-Michael Key. The movie was written and will be directed by Shane Black and Fred Dekker, the guy who also directed "Iron Man 3" and "The Nice Guys." "The Predator" was scheduled to hit theaters on March 2, 2018.
