'NCIS: Los Angeles' News & Updates: Show Pays Tribute To Miguel Ferrer; Episode Will Feature Bob Dylan Classics!

"NCIS: Los Angeles" announces plans to shoot an episode to pay tribute to deceased cast member Miguel Ferrer. The tribute episode is set to air on March 5 following the February 19 episode entitled "Payback" which includes that final scenes filmed by Ferrer before his passing,

Buddy TV echoes the announcement from "NCIS: Los Angeles" of its plans to dedicate one episode that will pay tribute to deceased cast member Miguel Ferrer. The Miguel Ferrer tribute episode is scheduled to air on March 5. The tribute episode will air after the show's "Payback" episode schedule on February 19 which contains the final scenes filmed by Ferrer before his passing.

According to EW, the Miguel Ferrer tribute episode will feature a cover of Bob Dylan classic "Knocking on Heaven's Door". Ferrer was a certified music lover. Before turning into an exceptional actor, Ferrer's first love was the drums.

Before Miguel Ferrer became the amazing actor he was as seen in "NCIS: Los Angeles", he was a creative and talented drummer first. In fact, he was a member of a band called The Jenerators which performed a cover of the Bob Dylan song that is featured in the tribute episode.

According to reports, fans will be able to relive Ferrer's music as the deceased actor's voice is claimed to be heard singing along with the track. On top of the episode's musical performance, the Miguel Ferrer tribute episode will be closed out with a remembrance title card.

As of date, "NCIS: Los Angeles" is yet to make official announcement as to the plans for character Owen Granger which was played by Ferrer. In the show's latest episode, Granger was shot and has ever since been recovering in a hospital. Miguel Ferrer portrayed the role of Granger for six long seasons on "NCIS: Los Angeles" before passing at the age of 61 after losing his battle with cancer.
