AMD Ryzen Release Date: Processors Available In Newegg, Amazon On March 2; Best IPC Against Intel For Less Than $500

AMD Ryzen processors were highlighted through the reveal of its benchmark tests during a soft release event led by Lisa Su, the CEO. Since 2016, the processor has already received tremendous amount of fanbase, now even made more popular by the test results that reportedly reveal that it is the best by far.

The AMD Ryzen, according to reports, is to receive 40 percent increase in IPC. However, the soft release event revealed that the upcoming processor is to have 52 percent IPC increase.

Moreover, Su highlighted a series of tests comparing Ryzen to the other existing processors in the market. For instance, the AMD Ryzen baseline 7 1700x will beat Intel i7-6900K by four percent. When compared with 1700x, the i7-6800K was recorded to have lagged behind by 39 percent. Throughout all of the benchmark test results, the upcoming AMD Ryzen processor is on top, leaving Intel's popular desktop processors way behind, Hot Hardware reported.

The AMD Ryzen soft release event's best part was reportedly the revelation of the retail price of the chips. The Ryzen 7 1800x will be sold for $499, 50 percent more affordable that Intel's i7-6900K. Ryzen 7 1700 is to be retailed for $329, while Ryzen 7 1700x is $399.

AMD CEO also confirmed that the newest processor lineup will be released for the public on March 2. Pre-orders, however, have started in the previous week. The purchase can be online as it is available in 180 retailers at lease including Newegg and Amazon.

Meanwhile, Vega GPUs were also announced and that Radeon 500 lineup will be out anytime soon. The company also confirmed that chief architect Raja Koduri will conquer the stage in a GDC 2017 event to highlight the Radeon Vega GPU, WCCFTech reported.

The Radeon Vega GPU reveal event will happen on Feb. 28, Tuesday, also available for online streaming. It will also feature the graphic card Radeon 500 series together with its gaming demonstrations and benchmark test results. Watch Experience AMD's New Horizon with AMD Ryzen video here:
