Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Release Date: 3 Biggest Hints That It Will Come In March

Microsoft Surface Pro 5 release has been rumored to be just around the corner as it was discovered that Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is not available for purchase anymore. While Microsoft has been really quiet about its next 2-in-1 device, its clearing up of the predecessor has got fans thinking that it is setting aside from space for the upcoming release.

Microsoft Surface Pro 3 discontinuation was previously announced and was fully manifested in in late January. However, its total disappearance in online store's available devices has just happened recently, Tech Radar reported. This discovery has led to speculations that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 could be release in March.

Microsoft Surface Pro 5 release date is said to be possible during the MWC 2017 in Spain, which will kick-off on Feb. 27, Monday. On top of the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 discontinuation, another Microsoft Surface Pro 5 launch hint is the ongoing Surface devices' sale in the whole of United States. According to reports, it is one of the company's way to clear out existing models.   

Taiwan's Digitimes also supported the report, claiming that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is initially schedule for launch anytime this year. If the launch happens in Spain, it may be available in April.

Microsoft Surface Pro 4, its most recent predecessor, used Intel Core sixth generation processor with a display of 12.3 inches and 2K by 1800 resolution. Based on the specs, experts are assuming that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will sport a Intel Kaby Lake seventh-gen processor and 4K display. More expansion ports are also expected with a possible move to USB-Type C.

Microsoft Surface Pro 5 specs is also said to feature ARM processor, taking into account the fact that Windows 10 will now support ARM. If reports are true, an LTE variant is the most obvious upgrade. Wireless charging is also hinted following the active pen patent that made headlines in the previous months, Digital Trends reported.
