A new movie version of the classic tale "Robin Hood" is set to be released on March 18 next year.

The new film, "Robin Hood: Origins", as the title suggests, will talk more about the historical background as well as a biography of its main character, Robin Hood.

What sets this upcoming film apart from the previous one? The film producer, Basil Iwanyk stated that the pool of actors will definitely make watching the movie a great experience. He believes that the talents of the actors will execute the characters very well. The cast includes Taron Egerton to play as the youthful Robin Hood, Ben Mendelsohn as Sheriff of Nottingham, Eve Hewson as Maid Marian and Jamie Foxx as Little John.

Iwanyk also stated that he feels the spirit of the young Robin Hood setting for an adveture of his lifetime will be the selling point of the movie. In an interview with Collider, he stated that his writer, Joby Harold, was able to make a very allegorical and contemporary script. The bright and jolly feeling of youth will be shown in the character of Robin Hood.

The producer also stated that the movie "John Wick" had been really influential for this film. How it engages its audience through dialogs, battle scenes as well as character development surely inspires Iwanyk to pursue a modern take on the past "Robin Hood" film by Ridley Scott. The story is indeed old and this is the main reason why most people are anticipating this upcoming movie: they are curious enough to see what it will offer to them.

The film is set to open in theaters on March 23, 2018. And, reports say that while the whole cast and synopsis is yet to come, it is confirmed that the movie is already in the works.
